Job Requirements
Requires someone who is building a portfolio of print and Web design
with concurrent enrollment in a two-year or four-year training program,
with at least 6 months learning InDesign, Quark, Photoshop, and
Illustrator in a Mac environment. Web design (Dreamweaver) knowledge is
a plus. Seeking exposure to publication design and page layout,
attention to detail, good customer service skills, someone who can
multi-task with a strong work ethic.
Job Responsibilities
Duties include completing layouts, producing comps, photo scanning,
image editing, preparing files for print-ready, meeting deadlines,
researching specs (ink colors, paper, print process) for projects,
researching stock photos/art, and organizing and archiving art files.
Job also involves and assisting both design and administrative staff
with getting the project done. Some administrative work for the design
studio may be required. A diversity of clients provides a wide range of
exposure to different projects and opportunities!
