Blue Cross Blue Shield, Senator Nelson Work to Increase Immunization Rate in Denton County

LEWISVILLE -- Immunizations will be more widely available in Denton County thanks to the efforts of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, State Senator Jane Nelson and Pedi Place who are teaming up to expand the mobile immunization Care Van program to the Lewisville area.

"It is so important to have our children immunized against the diseases we know we can prevent. The recent outbreak of whooping cough in our community is just one example of an illness that could have been prevented through immunizations," Senator Nelson said. "I sincerely appreciate Blue Cross Blue Shield for assisting with our effort to make immunizations more widely available in Texas." More . . .
